Natural stone, quartz or porcelain? Which is most commonly used in Spanish marble workshops?

With the emergence of new artificial materials in recent years, the marble industry is changing. Marble workers are adapting to the new circumstances and working with natural stone and artificial materials depending on what the customer requests.

We wanted to find out how far this new reality has gone, so we asked 20 Spanish marble workers to tell us what percentage of each material they use in their work.

The questions asked were:

1.- What percentage of GRANITE, QUARTZ and PORCELAIN do you use to make kitchen worktops?

2.- What percentage of NATURAL STONE, QUARTZ and PORCELAIN do you use in home renovations?
