Who has not heard of Sagrada Familia, that magnificent, unfinished work of Gaudi, which is one of the landmark sites of Barcelona? Well, work is going on now to finish it, and, as one would expect, natural stone is being its basic feature. The photographs in the following pages are self-explanatory; they refer to the elaboration and test installation in the factory of Marbres Castell S.A. in Ulldecona (Tarragona) of the large windows to be installed in the Tower of the Virgin. Two of them are made of 22 pieces each, two of 24 pieces each, and 2 more large windows consist of 25 pieces each. As any industry professional would immediately understand, they constitute the highest technological level of expertise that exists in the working of stone.
