In the last few years the area of Macael has developed a strong industry of craftsmanship in marble. Within this segment, with includes the manufacture of all kinds of decoration elements,balausters, columns, etc. one highlight is the elaboration of chimneys.Work with all kinds of marbles are done, not only from Macael, and the designs respond to all kinds of tastes: classic, simple, elaborated and rustic. There are many companies which elaborate chimneys in the province of Almeria Some of them also design their chimneys. A large part of the production is for the local market but there are also companies who export, mainly to the United States and Germany, but also to other cold climate countries.In the following pages we offer a small sample of what is being done in Almeria today. The companies mentioned in these pages are not the only ones there are, but it is still a significant sample. We are grateful to all those who have collaborated for the elaboration of this article.
